Will it invoice a contractor without me seeing it?

No. Every quote, invoice, off-hire confirmation and text is prepared and then waits for you. You read it, edit it, reject it, or approve it and schedule it to go out later. An overrun invoice on a long-standing customer is exactly the kind of thing you want to look at first, and you always get to.

How does it know a machine is late?

From the return date on the hire, kept in your calendar. Vorker flags the hire before it runs out and again when the date passes without an off-hire, so you are asked about it rather than finding it on a delivery note in December. You decide whether it is an agreed extension or extra hire days to bill.

Can it help with damage disputes?

It writes the report. Send the photos from handover and from return with a line about what you found, and Vorker produces a document that sets the two against each other, describes the damage and states the repair charge. You can forward it straight to the contractor or your insurer.

Does it replace our rental software?

No. Vorker sits alongside whatever you use and does the work around it: quoting, chasing return dates, drafting off-hire and overrun paperwork, answering enquiries and keeping the receipts booked. Nothing gets migrated and you do not learn a new system.

What about service intervals on the fleet?

Tell Vorker the interval for a machine, in hours or months, and it keeps track and flags the ones coming due, so a service is planned into a gap between hires instead of interrupting one. It can also draft the parts order and book the workshop receipt afterwards.

We are two people and a yard. Is this overkill?

That is the size it is built for. Vorker is made for businesses of one to ten people, where the owner also drives the truck, answers the phone and does the invoicing. Most depots start with hire end dates or quotes and add the rest once they trust it.
